Junior Department

Welcome to the junior department!

Here we welcome our KS2 pupils from their arrival in the school, until their transition to the middle department.

Our focus is to develop skills that are necessary during their journey throughout Glenveagh school. We love to have fun and learn through play, which affords our pupils the opportunity to develop the social skills that they will need throughout their lives, as well as learning subjects such as numeracy and literacy through more formal teaching methods. We are very focused on the importance of emotional well-being, and this is delivered through our lessons. Pupils will enjoy a mix of formal, sensory and creative teaching that will always leave them with a skill learned and a smile on their face!
